A maximum operating time is set for each power level. If a cooking zone runs at the same level for an unusually long time, it switches off automatically as a safety measure.

Every cooking zone has overheating protection, automatically switching off its heating element before the ceramic surface or other components can overheat. If liquid or another object accidentally falls onto the surface, the hob switches off again automatically, keeping you protected against accidental settings.

The basic hob settings can be adapted to your personal preferences — for example, the response speed of the touch buttons can be adjusted to suit how you like to cook.

The safety lock prevents accidental changes to power levels while cooking. The system lock protects against accidental or unauthorised activation — for example by children — and can be activated while the appliance is switched off.
