Miele hobs have a residual heat indicator for each cooking zone. It reminds you not to touch the hot cooking zone and not to place heat-sensitive objects on it. It also allows you to take advantage of the residual heat and save energy.

A maximum operating time is set for each level. If a cooking zone operates at the same power level for an unusually long time, it switches off automatically.

Each cooking zone has overheating protection. This automatically switches off the heating element of the cooking zone in the event of excessive use, before the ceramic or other components overheat. If liquid or something else accidentally falls on the surface, the hob switches off again automatically. This way you are always protected against accidental setting of the level.

The basic hob settings can be adapted to your personal preferences. For example, the response speed of the touch buttons can be changed.

The safety lock prevents accidental settings of the levels during cooking.
The system lock protects against accidental or unauthorized activation, e.g. by children. This function can be activated while the appliance is switched off.
