The 13-inch Ultra Retina XDR display uses Tandem OLED technology and delivers 2752 by 2064 pixels at 264 ppi. It reaches 1000 nits of brightness for both SDR and full screen XDR content, with up to 1600 nits peak for HDR, and offers a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. ProMotion adapts the refresh rate from 10Hz to 120Hz, while the fully laminated panel with antireflective coating and P3 wide color keeps images vivid and clear.
The Apple M5 chip combines a 9-core CPU (3 super cores and 6 efficiency cores) with a 10-core GPU featuring Neural Accelerators and hardware-accelerated ray tracing. A 16-core Neural Engine and 153GB/s of memory bandwidth support demanding apps, while 12GB of unified memory and 512GB of storage give you room to work. Apple Intelligence is built in and available in beta, with feature availability varying by region and language.
The 12MP Wide rear camera with f/1.8 aperture is joined by a LiDAR Scanner and records 4K video at up to 60 fps, with ProRes recording up to 4K at 30 fps on this 512GB model. On the front, the landscape 12MP Center Stage camera keeps you framed during FaceTime calls, and a studio-quality four-mic array captures clear audio for calls and recordings.
